The sun rises on another lovely day. It's enough to make you appreciate the small things. "ZZZZZZZZZZ..........." Of course it helps to be awake for the enjoyment of this. And if you're one Saotome Urara, you'll probably never enjoy one of these things. "Mou! Wake up, Urara-chan! Oyaji made my favorite breakfast today!!" And waking up a Saotome, Urara can be damn near impossible if you're her older twin brother, Saotome Aoshi. Currently, he was debating if he should slap her awake of dump a bucket of water on her. Either way was a fun thought, but would more than likely end up with a worse comeback from his sister. Smirking, he figured it would be worth it regardless. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ (SPLASH) “GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! I‘M GONNA KILL YOU, YOU JACKASS!!” (CRASH) "Oh come on now! It this any way to treat your oniichan?" (SMASH) "WHEN HE'S A JACKASS, YES!!" Ranma sighed as he looked up to the ceiling of his home and hearing his kids morning ritual. There were some mornings he could do without that shouting. He put down his newspaper and took a sip of his tea as he waited for the usual results. He saw a brown, white, and gray blur to notify him that his son had just passed by to get away from his sister. Another red blur let him know his daughter had passed by as well. Still, those two did remind him of his youth and the fun he did have in Nerima... sorta. He settled for clearing his throat to get his kids attention. They paused in mid chase and blinked at him as he calmly sipped on his tea. "You two better cut that out if you don't want to be late for your first day. And Urara-chan... if you change please? I doubt that they'd allow you to wear your birthday suit on the first day." Urara blushed and ran upstairs. Aoshi sat at his spot at the table for his favorite breakfast. Tonkatsu Teishoku.(1) "Itadakimasu!" He thanked before immediately starting with a mouthful of rice. The senior Saotome let go of a small hum as he looked at his son. He was a spitting image of him when he was younger, save that his hair was long, unbraided going down to his shoulder blades, and light-brown instead of black, which came from his mother. And his brown eyes that he also got from his mother. He was going to be the lady killer at his school. Aoshi looked up from his breakfast to see his dad looking at him. "What, do I have something on my face, Oyaji?" "Iie, it's nothing." "Ohayou, otouchan!" Urara came down dressed in a khaki colored sweater and light green skirt. Her reddish-brown hair was braided into a pigtail like her father. She smiled brightly at her father as she sat at the table and he returned the smile as she took her place at the table. Ranma was quite satisfied. It was a rare experience when he could be with his children, as he traveled quite often as he continued to try to become the greatest martial artist in the world. As he watched his kids settle down at the breakfast table he thought about the situation. Soon the slow, graceful steps of the fourth member of the family made her way downstairs. Her brown hair ran freely down her back and she wore a long dark skirt and a matching blouse. Ranma smiled and left his position at the table to greet his wife. Aoshi and Urara looked on as Ranma nuzzled Kasumi. Urara snorted in disgust. "If you two are going to breed, could you at least do it upstairs? Some of us are trying to eat." "It's our house, daughter. Not yours," Kasumi mentioned. "We'll breed where we darn well please. Right, anata?" "Did someone say something?" Ranma said, gazing into Kasumi's eyes. "I was too busy looking at you to notice." Kasumi smiled and kissed him gently. "EWWWWWWW!!!" Urara and Aoshi commented, dashing from the room and to the door. "Be good you two!" Kasumi called out as the two left the house. Sighing a bit, she turned to Ranma again. "Now then, where were we?" +++++++++++++++++ Aoshi and Urara ran full tilt down the streets of Tokyo-3, trying to make it to their new school on time and shake off the disgusting scene of their parents show of affection. Kids will be kids after all. Aoshi looked out into the street at all the cars that congested the highway. "It's so much... livelier here that in Old Nerima. Don't ya think so, Imoutochan?" Urara made an incommunicable grunt in response. "Sight-see after school, Oniichan. I sure as heck don't wanna be late for my first day. You'll probably fall asleep soon as you're at your desk." Aoshi turned to face Urara, his face showed mock hurt. "Oh my dear Imoutochan. You wound me to deep with your rapier wit." Urara just shook her head. It was obvious she got her father's intellect. And from what Aunt Nabiki told her, It seemed Aoshi got father's ego and attitude from his youth. She shoved him and Aoshi started to laugh when she heard a strange cry. Suddenly, Aoshi had crashed into a female body. The two fell to the ground and Aoshi held his face in pain. Urara jogged up to where Aoshi had fallen and saw that he was ok. She turned to face the girl and got a good look at her. She had long red hair that went to her waist and red berets in her hair. She had blue eyes and looked to be a gaijin, and she wore a white blouse and a green skirt that had matching suspenders. She looked to be about their age as well. She held her head in her hand, indicating that she was a little dinged, but was fine. An unknown voice called out. "Asuka, are you all right?" Urara looked up from the girl apparently named Asuka and saw... The most handsome boy she'd ever seen in her young life. He had on a standard boys school uniform. Urara's vision was suddenly filled with little hearts that surrounded the boy's face. "Of course I'm fine, baka! And you, why don't you watch where you're going, jerk?" "We don't have time! We gotta hurry or we'll be late!" The boy grabbed Asuka's hand and ran off at full tilt. Urara still was in fantasy mode. Aoshi rubbed his face as he continued to gaze at Asuka's retreating form. "Damn, polka dot panties really don't suit her." [SMACK!] Aoshi rubbed his now sore red cheek as Urara glared at him. Leave it to him to ruin a good fantasy. +++++++++++++++++ "So, didja hear that we're getting new students today?" Shinji looked up from his desk at Asuka. "How'd you know?" Asuka huffed and folded her arms. "It's so like you to be out of the loop on these things." Shinji rubbed his head sheepishly. Suddenly the door opened and the class turned to see two strange people along with their sensei. As they walked up to the blackboard and the sensei wrote their names on the board, Something clicked in Asuka's head as she looked at the strange boy. Suddenly, Asuka slammed her hands on her desk, and glared at the new boy. "You! You're the jerk who bumped into me this morning!" Asuka exclaimed. "Nani! How am I a jerk?" Retorted Aoshi. "My doesn't this sound familiar." Shinji said to no one in particular. Urara just sighed and shook her head. "Shut up, Baka Shinji!!" "What do you care? Is that ya boyfriend or somethin? Are ya two doin it?" Aoshi questioned. "Aren't you gonna stop this sensei?" Urara questioned. The sensei had her arms folded and her feet on her desk. "Hey, it's been a while since I had a good show from this class." Asuka blushed heavily and backed away from Aoshi's accusations. "H-h-how dare you! We're just childhood friends! That's all!" Aoshi then smirked and folded his arms. "I should've guessed as much. Who'd want a uppity, flat-chested, overreacting violent tomboy like you?" A vein grew in Asuka's head and she lifted her desk "YOU..." and tossed it at Aoshi. "JERK!" The desk hit Aoshi in his face and he slumped down to the floor. There was a collective groan from the class and Urara slapped a hand to her forehead. "Oneechan no baka. You had _that_ one coming." Funny how history repeats it's self ain't it? +++++++++++++++++ An hour later, Aoshi returned to the classroom nursing a large bump on his forehead. He leveled a glare at Asuka, whom returned it with equal ferocity. The homeroom was over and Misato had left for the day much to the male student body's dismay. The current sensei pointed to an empty desk behind Touji and Aoshi nodded his thanks and took his seat. The sensei resumed his drowning on about algebra, or maybe history. Whatever it was, it was rapidly putting Aoshi to sleep. "Hey, new kid." Aoshi nodded and regarded Touji. Touji had a smirk on his face. "I just wanted ta say ya got some serious grapefruits ta say what ya said ta Asuka. No one save me can say they've ever talked smack to the red-headed demon and live." Aoshi smirked. "I've seen worse, believe me." He scratched behind his head with his left hand and extended his right. "Name's Saotome Aoshi. And you are?" Touji accepted the hand. "Suzuhara Touji. Captain of the basketball team 'round here. I can help ya get used ta this place real fast." "Keep that demon tomboy outta my sight and you got a pal for life." +++++++++++++++++ The rest of the school day went on without incident and at three, class was dismissed for the day. Aoshi had his hands in his pockets as he walked out of school for the day. Urara was behind him, her hands folded and a humming a happy tune. "Thinkin about your boyfriend, Imotouchan?" Aoshi teased. Urara huffed. "He's not my boyfriend! Not yet anyway." She mummbled the last part to herself. Aoshi smirked. "You know, Oyaji'd never go for someone as..." He trailed off as he caught glimpse of Asuka once more with Shinji and glared at her. She returned the glare full force. "Hentai." She stated. "Tomboy." Aoshi retorted. "Jerk." "Gorilla." "Baka." "Witch." [SMACK!] Once again, Aoshi was rubbing a sore red cheek and Urara was dragging him away from the school and back home. Asuka let off a satisfied smile before turning to Shinji and dragging him off to his house. Urara face was flustered in embarrasment and Aoshi was the same red as his sister due to anger and his red cheek. "That girl is so kawaiikune." He mummered to himself. The rest of the way home went without incident. "Tadiama!" Called out Aoshi as Urara took off her shoes and walked up into the living room of the house. Ranma was sitting on the couch watching the news and idly playing with his pigtail. Kasumi was in the kitchen, cooking diner. "Okari nasai, you two!" Kasumi responded. "Dinner will be ready in a few moments, so wash up!" "Hai, okassan!" The twins answered. They rushed off to their rooms and changed from their school clothes into more relaxed clothing. Aoshi donning one of his father's old Chinese shirts, with the sleeves rolled up halfway, and dark blue carpenter jeans. Urara wearing cutoff jean shorts and a loose-fitting tee shirt. Dinner went on without incident and the family went about their ways. Aoshi continued to train until bedtime and Urara went to her room and listened to her musical assortment of J-pop. All in all, an quiet night for the Saotome family. They better enjoy it while it lasts. +++++++++++++++++ Author's notes. To anyone who's watched the last episode of Evangelion, do you remember that scene where it showed the cast living a normal life? If you do, then you know where I'm going with this, with more Takahashi-ness involved. (So either everyone's IC or OOC depending on your view.) Not Ranma level, but, if I had to guess I'd say between Maison Ikkoku and Ranma Nibunnoichi. As in it's a little more realistic, but ridiculous at the same time with some dramatic moments. And of course, many martial artists. Ranma and his crew won't be involved much, but they'll still make big impacts in the kids lives cause they're parents now. (duh) This all started in response to the MST of the original version(Which is pretty damn funny, and I think you should read it.) That pointed out alot of things I did goof up on, so I figures that this way'll work better! Let me know what you, the readers think! As it relates to why it's still called Tokyo-3 even though Second Impact never happened and we're going on with life as It will probably be in a decade, I wouldn't worry about it to much. You might hurt yourself. (Wishbringer rubs his head in pain.) And this is how I don't write that mind-rape of Asuka ever. ^_P Thanx to Tom Hackwood and Ryan Trask for pre-reading this. And yes, we'll have lots of loving, waffy scenes with Kasumi. (1)Tonkatsu Teishoku. That has rice, miso soup, pork cutlets and shredded cabbage. A more traditional breakfast has rice and pickles, miso soup, grilled salmon, raw egg, laver and spinach. That's enough to make one miss Toaster Strudels. Wishbringer.
